A MANIFEST FOR THE MOON

The Lunar Codex uses digital and analog technology to preserve art, books, music, and more, enclosed in time capsules and launched to the Moon. It is a message-in-a-bottle to the future.

Curatorial Notes

This section spotlights literary magazines published on a regular or semi-regular basis, as well as magazines that reflect not just literature but a combination of arts and letters.

First among these is O Muse! Started in 2021, the quarterly magazine is an arts, literature and music publication founded by musicians and artists to celebrate, support and promote the diversity of creatives.

Artists are often labeled as painters, songwriters, or photographers - but rarely are their talents confined to a single medium. Musicians have been known to delve into photography, photographers play instruments, artists often are writers, and many writers paint.

And then there are those who ply a 9-5 profession - lawyers, factory workers, anthropologists - who at night or on weekends hammer away on a vintage typewriter or take up a brush.

O Muse! showcases this versatility and fusion of artistic expression, illuminating the multifaceted prism of creativity.

* Every piece in each of the literary magazines listed below is archived in the Codex. Each author listed thus has at least one creative piece represented in the Codex, and often several.
