A MANIFEST FOR THE MOON
The Lunar Codex uses digital and analog technology to preserve art, books, music, and more, enclosed in time capsules and launched to the Moon. It is a message-in-a-bottle to the future.

Curatorial Notes
The poetry represented in the Lunar Codex began with one volume, Tango Desolado, from the five-volume Semaphore Collection of Dr. Samuel Peralta's poetry. This was owing to a lack of space in the Peregrine Collection.
This grew to include the other four books from the series - the award-winning Sonata Vampirica, Sonnets from the Labrador, How More Beautiful You Are, and War and Ablution - all Amazon bestsellers in poetry. Sonnets from the Labrador was also published in a GOSS183 print edition.

In late 2021 the Lunar Codex, in cooperation with Brick Street Poetry, launched a call for poems under the editorial leadership of Joyce Brinkman, inaugural poet laureate of Indiana, along with poet and professor Dr. Joe Heithaus of DePauw University and poet and science writer Jessica Reed of Butler University. This call was the basis for the anthology The Polaris Trilogy - the first poetry collection to be originally commissioned for archiving on the Moon.
The Lunar Codex now also includes three volumes from the Best New African Poetry series, and numerous other collections of note.

* Every poem in each of the books and anthologies listed below is archived in the Codex. Each author listed thus has at least one poetry work represented in the Codex, and often several.

DANGER FLOWER
Palimpsest Press / Anstruther Books (2021) - GM1

- A collection of poetry by Jaclyn Desforges
- A baby transforms into a reverse mermaid in a baptism gone wrong. After being stepped on, a snail exacts revenge. In Danger Flower, Jaclyn Desforges leads enlightened witnesses through a wild garden where archetypal tales are treated with tongue-in-cheek irreverence. Amidst nesting dolls and opossums, poison oak and Tamagotchis, the poet navigates gender roles, sexual indiscretions, episodic depression, and mothering, forming essential survival strategies for a changing world. Danger Flower is a necessary debut.
