A MANIFEST FOR THE MOON
The Lunar Codex uses digital and analog technology to preserve art, books, music, and more, enclosed in time capsules and launched to the Moon. It is a message-in-a-bottle to the future.

Curatorial Notes

The initial collection of books in the Lunar Codex were the twenty-one volumes of Dr. Samuel Peralta's Future Chronicles anthology series. This provides for a wealth of short stories from hundreds of contemporary speculative fiction authors.
The collection also brings together stories from other anthologies published over 2015-2021, including from Patrice Fitzgerald's Beyond the Stars anthology series and Mostly Murder anthology, Daniel Arthur Smith's two anthology series Tales from the Canyons of the Damned and Frontiers of Speculative Fiction, Discover Sci-Fi's Tales from the Starship Discovery, and other standalone anthologies Megastructures, and Mars. In most cases these stories were subsequently published separately by their authors.

Other works archived in the Lunar Codex include The Silo Series by Hugh Howey and Sephalon Tales by Andy Weir, along with the works of other independently-curated authors.

* Every story in each of the books and collections listed below is archived in the Codex. Each author thus has at least one prose work represented in the Codex, and often several.
